Business Science

A business and parts of a business are all complex systems that drive and interact with each other. As people, we have learned to deal with these systems in the form of process, data systems and through people. The Business Science department is committed to promoting and facilitating the conduct of all research in ways that respect the dignity and preserve the well-being of human research participants and the researchers.

Artificial intelligence is already here

Artificial intelligence has a wide range of uses in businesses, including streamlining job processes and aggregating business data. Researchers aren’t exactly sure what artificial intelligence means for the future of business, specifically as it relates to blue-collar jobs. AI is expected to take digital technology out of the two-dimensional screen and bring it into the three-dimensional physical environment surrounding an individual. The more mature a company's level of AI adoption, the higher the revenue advantage. With automated workflow and optimized day-to-day tasks, AI is helping businesses boost productivity in many ways. It reduces the time employees spend performing a task. As a result, they achieve more in less time, enhancing the company's overall productivity side by side.

Deep learning has a great deal of promise

Older machine-learning algorithms tend to plateau in their capability once a certain amount of data has been captured, but deep-learning models continue to improve their performance as more data is received. This makes deep learning models far more scalable and detailed. You could even say deep learning models are more independent. But the future is coming quickly, and artificial intelligence will certainly be a part of it. As it develops, the world will see new startups, numerous business applications and consumer uses, the displacement of certain jobs, and the creation of entirely new ones.
